MOSHA were an indie rock band based in Curitiba, PR, Brasil that started back in 1997 and lasted until 2002. During those years the band has been through a series of live gigs, rehearsals and “lots” of recordings (most of them raw material never released). The band’s first gig was at the Circus Bar on September/1997, folowed by many others during the folowing years at local bars and clubs. (Cabaret Pagliaci, DCE Bar, Sheena Bar, James Bar, VOX,”21″, Vasquinho, Sociedade Portuguesa). Mosha were awarded two consecutive times the Critics’ Choice for Best Song (STONED-1999/ SPACEMAN-2000) at the PREMIO FUN, by a local newspaper. The band crafted a musical approach that relied on simplicity, some melodic songs with a mix of guitar-driven rock and drum rhythm samples. They were constantly associated with British bands like The Verve, Oasis and Radiohead. But in the end it doesn’t even matter…immersed in their own world, they were just looking for answers in their souls….
